The President submitted to the People’s Assembly of the Republic of Daghestan for consideration the candidacies of Acting Head of the Republic of Daghestan Vladimir Vasilyev and Deputy Speaker of the People’s Assembly of the Republic of Daghestan Makhmud Makhmudov for the post of Head of the Republic of Daghestan.
The names of the candidates were submitted in accordance with Federal Law On General Principles of Organisation of Legislative (Representative) and Executive Bodies of Authority in the Regions of the Russian Federation of October 6, 1999.
