Presidential Aide Yury Trutnev chaired a meeting of the Presidential Commission for the Development of General Aviation in Krasnodar Territory.
The meeting looked at developing infrastructure and ground-based facilities for general aviation. A report was presented on implementing the presidential instructions issued following the Commission’s meeting in Kazan on February 25, 2013, which discussed carrying out projects on a public-private partnership basis.
The meeting concluded with a proposal to draft the measures needed to reduce administrative barriers to servicing aircraft used in general aviation at civilian airports, including international airports and state and experimental aviation airports.
The meeting also adopted a draft code for general aviation pilots in Russia.
After the meeting, Mr Trutnev and the commission members met at the Belevtsy airfield, where the opening of the Kuban Air Show 2013 international festival of small aircraft was taking place, with festival participants – private plane pilots who supported the pilots’ code.
