Vladimir Putin attended an ice sledge hockey match

The President watched an ice sledge hockey match between Russia and South Korea.

Other officials who attended the match included Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak, Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko, and President of the International Olympic Committee Thomas Bach.

The Korean Paralympians won the match.

Ice sledge hockey is the Paralympic form of ice hockey for wheelchair users. Instead of skates the athletes use special sledges and two sticks. They can use both sticks at the same time to move the puck.
