Vladimir Putin visited the National Children’s Sport and Health Centre in Sochi, built on the President’s initiative in March 2013.
The President had a look at the Centre’s infrastructure, visited the hotel facilities and spoke to students of children’s sports schools.
The Centre operates year round, and this year it will host six sessions of 200 children aged 10–16 who have demonstrated significant achievements in various winter sports. Besides the general school curriculum, the students of the centre have regular training sessions in skiing, ice hockey, short track, ski racing, biathlon, free-style, snowboarding and downhill skiing.
