Vladimir Putin met with the winners of the 5th National Amateur Ice Hockey Teams' Festival, which was held at the ice rinks of the Sochi Olympic Park. The festival is sponsored by the Night Ice Hockey League jointly with the Ministry of Sport and the Russian Hockey Federation.
Team Avto from Yekaterinburg finished first after beating Filigran Novosibirsk 3–0 in the finals, which was held at the Bolshoi Ice Dome. The team received a 100-million-ruble grant from the Ministry of Sport for the construction of an indoor ice rink in its home town.
The President congratulated the players on their decisive victory and presented them with a certificate for the construction of the ice rink.
