Vladimir Putin visited the Yug-Sport Training Centre in Sochi. The President toured the facilities and briefly spoke to members of the Russian national boxing, judo and freestyle wrestling teams. He also took part in a training session.
Yug-Sport is the largest sports centre in southern Russia. It has the facilities for training athletes in 54 summer and winter sports. In the past three years, the centre hosted more than 100 Russian and international competitions, including competitions in taekwondo, karate, fencing and table tennis.
