Nikolai Tsukanov briefed the President on the social and economic situation in the region.
The Governor’s reported that the construction of three natural gas power stations has been launched in execution of the Presidential instructions regarding energy security in the Kaliningrad Region.
According to Mr Tsukanov, investment levels are recovering, while residential construction remains steady. Agriculture is experiencing a more than 10 percent growth compared to 2015. New orchards are being planted, with an additional 300 hectares of fruit trees planned for this year, and another 1,000 hectares in 2017.
