Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Amendments to Federal Law On the Special Economic Zone in the Kaliningrad Region and on Amendments to Certain Legislative Acts of the Russian Federation.
The Federal Law envisages transferring the Russian Federation’s powers with regard to state support for legal entities operating in the Kaliningrad Region and residents of the special economic zone in the Kaliningrad Region to the authorities of the Kaliningrad Region, in order to create and maintain jobs, substitute imports, and localise assembly production, as well as to improve economic and social living conditions in the Kaliningrad Region.
