Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On Early Termination of the Mandate of Head of the Republic of Kalmykia, thereby releasing Alexei Orlov from his duties and appointing him acting Head of the Republic.
Following Mr Orlov’s request to step down from office ahead of term, the President accepted his resignation from the position of Head of the Republic of Kalmykia.
Mr Orlov has been appointed acting Head of the republic until the newly elected head takes office.
