Auditing organisation of work in fight against corruption in Republic of Mordovia state agencies

December 10, 2015

The Presidential Directorate for Countering Corruption, together with the Office of the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Volga Federal District, the Federal Security Service, the Prosecutor General’s Office, the Labour Ministry and the Justice Ministry audited the organisation of work to prevent corruption-related infractions within the Republic of Mordovia’s government agencies.

The audit found that, overall, the republic ensures the functioning of regulatory anti-corruption mechanisms and systematically carries out work to ensure cooperation between government agencies and civil society institutions.

At the same time, the audit revealed shortcomings in countering corruption. Following the audit, Head of the Republic of Mordovia Vladimir Volkov was advised to implement a set of measures to overcome the inadequacies found.
