The President began his working visit to Nizhny Novgorod by inspecting the international terminal at Strigino Airport built for 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Construction of the international terminal began in June 2014. On March 4, 2016, it opened in trial mode. The terminal is already servicing domestic flights and will go international in the second quarter of 2016. Its annual capacity is more than 1.5 million passengers.
