Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Armed Forces Vladimir Putin observed the final stage of the Tsentr-2015 strategic headquarters military exercises at the Donguzsky Test Ground in Orenburg Region.
According to the exercises scenario, the troops must eliminate a big terrorist group using air and airborne assault forces, rockets and artillery, engineer and robotic forces.
The Tsentr-2015 military exercises take place between September 14–20 on the land, navy and air force testing grounds and other locations of the Central and Southern military districts. Some 95,000 servicemen representing all branches of the Russian Armed forces including Military Space Forces formed on the base of units and formations of the Russian Air Forces and the Aerospace Defence troops take place in the exercises using over 7,000 arms and equipment units.
Later the President met with service members who took part in the military exercises. Vladimir Putin was interested in hearing their assessment of the new equipment and thanked them for excellent performance at the military exercises. The President also toured the exhibition of the advanced small arms models set up on the testing ground.
