Emergency Situations Minister Vladimir Puchkov and Governor of Primorye Territory Vladimir Miklushevsky briefed the President on the situation in Ussuriysk following floods in the region.
Mr Miklushevsky said, in particular, that active stage of the rescue work is now complete. Mr Puchkov briefed the President on the rescue operations that have already been carried out in Ussuriysk.
According to Emergency Situations Ministry information, 33 towns and villages were flooded in eight municipal districts and in Ussuriysk city district. Hundreds of people have been evacuated from the city and nearby villages.
