Touring an exhibition of priority development regions

September 5, 2017, Vladivostok

In Vladivostok, Vladimir Putin visited an exhibition featuring priority development areas and gave the order to launch operations and construction at a number of enterprises via video link.

Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Far Eastern Federal District Yury Trutnev showed the President an interactive map, The Recent History of the Far East, and told him about this year’s key events related to the region. The President also got acquainted with the first results of the Far Eastern Hectare programme’s implementation.

In addition, in the course of a videoconference, Vladimir Putin gave the order to launch a number of enterprises. In particular, the company Vysochaishy launched the first stage of production at an ore mining and processing enterprise in Yakutia; the company Polyus launched a warm start at an ore mining and processing enterprise in Magadan Region. The President also launched a diamond cutting operation in Primorsky Territory and gave the command to launch production at a plant for the deep processing of soybeans in Amur Region and a sawmill in Khabarovsk Territory.

Vladimir Putin wished success to senior executives and employees of the new enterprises and noted the importance of developing these areas of production.

Vladimir Putin arrived in Vladivostok after a visit to the People's Republic of China where he took part in the  BRICS summit.
