State Commission for Socioeconomic Development of Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol established

Vladimir Putin signed Executive Order On the State Commission for Socioeconomic Development of the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol and On Abolishing the State Commission for Organising the XXII Winter Olympics and XI Winter Paralympics in Sochi in 2014.

In order to make the federal, regional and municipal executive authorities’ socioeconomic development efforts in Crimea and Sevastopol more effective, the President has established the State Commission for Socioeconomic Development in the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol and approved its membership. 

The Commission’s decisions and instructions are binding for the federal and regional executive authorities, local government bodies and other bodies and organisations. 

In the same Executive Order, the President abolished the State Commission for Organising the XXII Winter Olympics and XI Paralympics in Sochi in 2014.
