Law on special legal regulation in culture and tourism sectors in Crimea and Sevastopol

February 13, 2015

Vladimir Putin signed Federal Law On Special Legal Regulation of Relations in the Culture and Tourism Sectors following the Accession of the Republic of Crimea to the Russian Federation and the Creation of New Constituent Entities within the Russian Federation – the Republic of Crimea and the Federal City of Sevastopol.

The Law’s purpose is to put in place the legal conditions needed to preserve cultural heritage sites, rare and valuable library collections, unique documents and valuable materials in the Republic of Crimea archives, and museum items and collections in Crimea and Sevastopol. The Law also brings the activities of travel agencies registered in the two regions into line with Russian Federation legislation in this area.
