Vladimir Putin attended a gala concert in honour of conductor Yury Temirkanov’s 75th birthday. The concert launched the XIV International Winter Festival Arts Square, which is taking place in St Petersburg on December 14–25, 2013.
The President congratulated artistic director of the Shostakovich St Petersburg Academic Philharmonic Yury Temirkanov on his birthday.
Earlier this week, President Putin sent the maestro a congratulatory message and signed an executive order awarding him the Order for Services to the Fatherland, IV degree.
