Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov presented the Development Award to several Russian companies for implementing the best projects in various sectors of the economy. The ceremony was held on the sidelines of the St Petersburg International Economic Forum within the framework of a panel discussion on creating centres of economic growth in Russia’s regions.
The Development Award is a professional prize awarded to corporate entities and individuals for services in implementing major nationally significant investment programmes and projects that are making a noteworthy contribution to Russia’s socioeconomic development.
The award was launched by Vnesheconombank and is presented annually. This year, there were 289 applications from 60 Russian regions with 29 projects receiving awards.
Prizes were given to projects in infrastructure, manufacturing, small and medium-sized business, innovation and technology, and environment, as well as a project for comprehensive territory development, an export project and a project with foreign investment participation.
