July 30, 2022

Vladimir Putin will review the Main Naval Parade in St Petersburg and Kronstadt on Russia’s Navy Day, celebrated on July 31.

The President will make the rounds of military ships on a presidential cutter in the Gulf of Finland, the Neva River and the Kronstadt Yard and congratulate their crews on Navy Day.

The event will traditionally feature naval, air, ground and shore components. More than 40 ships, cutters and submarines, 42 aircrafts and more than 3,500 servicemen will participate in the Main Naval Parade this year. It will be concluded by a march of ceremonial regiments made up of servicemen, students of the Russian Navy’s educational institutions and cabin boys of the Young Army. Naval parades will also take place in Vladivostok, Baltiysk, Severomorsk, Kaspiysk, Novorossiysk and Tartus (Syria).

Prior to the parade, the President will sign executive orders approving the Naval Doctrine of the Russian Federation and the Russian Navy Regulations. The ceremony will be held at the St Petersburg State History Museum in the Sts Peter and Paul Fortress.
