Staff of Radar MMS awarded the Order of Alexander Nevsky

February 19, 2025, St Petersburg

Vladimir Putin presented the Order of Alexander Nevsky to the team of Radar MMS, a research and production enterprise, for outstanding achievements in strengthening the defence capabilities of the Russian Federation.

President of Russia Vladimir Putin: Good afternoon,

It is a great pleasure to present this high state decoration, the Order of Alexander Nevsky, to the Radar MMS team.

Friends and colleagues, your enterprise boasts a rich and glorious history. Over the decades, it has traversed a long and admirable path and today holds a leading position in the development of highly sophisticated intellectual systems for military and civilian aviation and maritime technology. It makes a significant contribution to bolstering Russia’s defence capabilities and security, while designing and supplying automated systems and complexes for high-precision weaponry.

I am in constant contact with our military personnel, with commanders of [military] groups – and regardless of the direction these conversations take, I wish to underscore this: always, in one way or another, they touch upon the products manufactured at your enterprise.

We have always taken pride in the designers, engineers, and workers of our national defence industry complex. In many ways, it is your talent, enthusiasm, pioneering ideas, and, of course, utmost professionalism that have forged the country’s strong defence shield – over many decades – establishing traditions that your enterprise continues to uphold with dignity. Today, you produce cutting-edge, in-demand equipment with the broadest applications. Foremost among these are unmanned aerial vehicles, radar and telecommunications equipment and systems, Earth’s surface monitoring systems, and so forth.

I wish to thank all veterans, management, and employees of the enterprise for their conscientious labour, responsible approach to fulfilling assigned tasks, and truly outstanding production achievements.

I am confident that you will continue to work actively and productively for the benefit of Russia and our people, enhancing the nation’s scientific, industrial, and creative potential, contributing to the strengthening of its industrial and technological sovereignty, and successfully implementing forward-looking plans and projects.

From the bottom of my heart, I wish you, friends, and the entire team… I see many young people here – the director just mentioned this, noting the average age of the team – (addressing Georgy Antsev) what is it?

General Director – Chief Designer of Radar MMS Georgy Antsev: Here, it is 32; overall, 38.

Vladimir Putin: Thirty-two, thirty-eight years – you know, this is truly heartening, because the future of this production sector, this field of endeavour, and indeed the entire country, lies in the hands of young people brimming with the aspiration and desire to fulfil their potential.

Once again, I wholeheartedly wish the team every success – and to each of you personally, good health and the attainment of all the ambitious objectives and goals you have set for yourselves. Once again I would like to express my appreciation to you for the results of your work. Thank you.
