Vladimir Putin visited the workshops of Ural Transport Machine Building Design Bureau at Research and Production Corporation Uralvagonzavod in Nizhny Tagil.
The President saw models of the latest military hardware – a tank and armoured personnel carrier based on the Armata combat platform, and spoke briefly with the employees.
Research and Production Corporation Uralvagonzavod is one of Russia’s biggest machine-building complexes. The corporation includes over 40 industrial enterprises, research institutes and design bureaus in Russia and abroad.
Modernisation of the T-90S tank, the Terminator (BMPT) tank support combat vehicle, and armoured personnel carriers based on the Armata platform are particularly important in Uralvagonzavod’s military goods range.
