During his trip to Tatarstan, Vladimir Putin had a brief meeting with Tattelecom Director General Lutfulla Shafigullin.
Lutfulla Shafigullin is known for his charity and educational efforts. He has supported the construction of five museums, the restoration of 17 Muslim and Christian Orthodox rural cemeteries, five mosques, the St Peter and Paul’s Cathedral in Arsk region, the construction of sports grounds and the purchasing of modern school equipment.
At the meeting, Vladimir Putin said that in Tatarstan, representatives of different religions feel free and can pursue their passions. The republic has created a positive and welcome atmosphere and sets a good example.
The meeting took place at Kazan Federal University.
