Mr Putin will visit the Kalashnikov Concern in Izhevsk, where he will view the latest firearms models and see some of the stages of the production process.
The President will also hold a meeting on the implementation of the 2011–2020 state arms procurement programme with regard to arms and special equipment supplies for the ground forces. Taking part in the meeting will be Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov, Defence Minister Sergei Shoigu and the heads of federal agencies and state-owned defence industry enterprises.
