The President will participate in the events marking the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Stalingrad.
The agenda includes a visit to the Volgograd State Panoramic Museum The Battle of Stalingrad on Mamayev Hill, where the President will lay a wreath in the Hall of Military Glory, accompanied by Great Patriotic War veterans. Vladimir Putin will also visit the military memorial cemetery on Mamayev Hill.
Also, the President will make a congratulatory speech at a gala concert in honour of this significant date.
After viewing the exhibition at The Battle of Stalingrad museum, Vladimir Putin will meet with Great Patriotic War veterans and members of search teams from the Volgograd regional youth organisation Poisk (Search)
The goals and objectives of this organisation include the commemoration of the fallen defenders of the Fatherland, organisation of searches, burial and reburial of the remains of soldiers who perished during the war, and patriotic and international education to young people.
