The President will take part in the 6th International Sports Forum Russia – Country of Sports, in Kovrov and visit the Days of Sambo in Vladimir Region, currently taking place in Kovrov.
Vladimir Putin will chair a meeting of the Council for Developing Physical Fitness and Sports on the forum’s sidelines. The main item on the agenda will be improving the public physical education system. The meeting will also review the results of Russian athletes’ performances at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
