Voronezh Region Governor Alexei Gordeyev, Emergency Situations Minister Vladimir Puchkov and Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets reported to Vladimir Putin on the fire in an asylum as well as on the measures taken to assist the injured and families of those killed in the fire.
The President was informed of the start of an investigation to determine those responsible for the fire.
Vladimir Putin expressed his deep condolences to the families and friends of the fire victims and wished a speedy recovery to all those injured.
As a result of the fire that occurred overnight into Sunday in a psycho-neurological asylum in Voronezh Region, 23 people were killed and 23 more taken to hospitals.
