Anatoly Kaminsky is in Moscow on a one-day working visit at the invitation of State Duma Speaker Boris Gryzlov.
In the course of the visit, inter-parliamentary consultations have been held to discuss the prospects of developing dialogue between the United Russia party and Renewal, Russian-Transnistrian trade and economic relations, and Russia’s assistance to Transnistria.
Transnistria’s Parliament Speaker spoke about the plans to conduct a constitutional reform, as well as the anti-crisis measures implemented by the republic’s leadership to ensure a speedy recovery from the global economic crisis. Anatoly Kaminski emphasised Russia’s vital role in the stabilisation of Transnistria’s economy, the development of science, education, the social sphere and culture, as well as the preservation of peace and security in the region.
