In particular, the meeting addressed the draft long-term programme for increasing efficiency in fulfilling judicial decisions (for 2011–2020), the system for assessing the efficacy of government agencies’ programmes and plans to counter corruption, and Russia’s compliance with the statutes of the UN Convention against Corruption and other international agreements concerning government procurement, accounting, audits and financial accountability within Russian legislation.
The Council members gave corresponding instructions to the Justice Ministry, the Economic Development Ministry and the Accounts Chamber, and also stressed the need to take the requirements set forth in the UN Convention against Corruption into account when improving Russian legislation on the supply of goods and services for government needs.
