Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov chaired a meeting of the Organising Committee for Celebrations of the 70th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941–1945.
The discussion focussed on the main areas of preparation, including the involvement of veterans. Participants finalised the list of cities that will have military parades and troop marches, naval vessel parades and demonstration flights.
The focus during the Victory Anniversary year will be on involving young people in voluntary memorial and search activities directed at preserving the historical memory of the heroic feat performed by the people during the Great Patriotic War.
