Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Ivanov chaired a meeting of the Council for Countering Corruption Presidium.
Along with members of the Council Presidium, participants in the meeting included Head of the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service Igor Artemyev and representatives from the Economic Development Ministry and the Federal Security Service.
Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev presented a report on the results of work carried out by the Interior Ministry to counter corruption among traffic police, as well as proposals to improve this work.
Participants in the meeting stated that the Interior Ministry is doing a great deal of work in this area, consistently and vigorously, although many unresolved issues remain. The Council Presidium indicated that the Interior Ministry must continue its efforts to prevent corruption openly and publicly.
Secretary of State and Deputy Economic Development Minister Oleg Fomichev reported on the course of work to strengthen cooperation between the business community and state authorities in countering corruption.
Head of the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service Igor Artemyev briefed the meeting participants on fighting corruption in the execution of the state defence order and measures to improve this work.
Corresponding decisions were made based on the results of the Council presidium meeting.
