Presidential Aide German Klimenko held a meeting with federal executive officials, regional and local government officials and representatives of Russian IT companies to discuss implementation of the software import replacement programme at federal, regional and municipal level.
Participants in the meeting included Deputy Minister of Communications and Mass Media Alexei Sokolov, Deputy Director of the Federal Bailiff Service Tatyana Ignatyeva, Deputy Head of the Presidential Directorate for Information Technology and E-Democracy Pavel Pugachev, representatives of the Yaroslavl, Moscow and Vladimir regions, President of the Fund for Information Democracy Ilya Massukh, and specialists from Russian IT companies.
The meeting examined the state of progress in implementing presidential instructions on import replacement in the information technology sector. Some state agencies, regions and municipalities have already obtained positive results in this work. The participants examined problems that are hampering efforts to make faster progress in this area.
The discussions concluded with a decision to have the Internet Development Institute and Fund for Information Democracy, together with relevant organisations, develop a basic package of Russian-made software for the regional and local authorities to use. This basic package will include software products included on the Russian software register. The resulting package will be used for carrying out a pilot project that will see some municipalities in the Vladimir and Yaroslavl regions make the transition to using Russian-made software.
The meeting participants also reached an agreement that the Moscow Region government, 1C Company, and the Internet Development Institute will work together on a pilot project to use electronic government information and communications systems in the Moscow Region municipalities.
