Presidential Aide and State Council Secretary Igor Levitin chaired the second meeting of the working group on preparing a State Council meeting on boosting investment attractiveness of the Russian health resort complex.
Igor Levitin stressed the unique character of Russia’s geography, its environmental diversity, the curative potential and effective system of health resort complex, which had been developing for decades. The health resort sector can be regarded as a major driver of the nation’s economic growth.
Deputy Healthcare Minister Tatyana Yakovleva, co-chairperson of the editorial group, presented the first draft of the report.
Speaking at the working group’s meeting were Minister for North Caucasus Affairs Lev Kuznetsov, Krasnodar Territory’s Minister of Resorts and Tourism Yevgeny Kudelya, President of the National Resort Association Academician Alexander Razumov, and others.
Members of the Federation Council and State Duma, federal and regional executive bodies, representatives of public organisations and the expert community were among the meeting participants.
