German Klimenko made working trip to Kaluga Region

Presidential Aide German Klimenko met with Governor of Kaluga Region Anatoly Artamonov, took part in an industrial innovation forum Industry, Innovation, Technology, and met with local people as part of the mobile Presidential Reception Office in Kaluga Region.

Mr Klimenko discussed further developing information and communication technology (ICT) in Kaluga Region at his meeting with Mr Artamonov. The meeting ended with the signing of an agreement between the regional government and the Internet Development Institute on cooperation in developing the Russian segment of the internet and related economic sectors.

Cooperation will also extend to import substitution in the ICT sector, facilitating the development of an expert community, and organising joint events, including seminars and conferences. There are also plans to organise information cooperation on raising education quality, popularising ICT sector professions, and helping to get the business community involved in the educational process.

Mr Klimenko and Mr Artamonov also opened an exhibition organised as part of the Industry, Innovation, Technology industrial innovation forum, and took part in the forum’s plenary session.

The forum’s key themes were promoting competitive and innovative high-tech goods, and consolidating the interests of the business community, authorities, experts and analysts to develop the best possible solutions for developing the region’s industrial sector.

Mr Klimenko and Economic Development Minister of Kaluga Region Dmitry Razumovsky also took part in a round table discussion of state policy in the information and communications technology sector organised by the Kaluga Region IT Centre.

At the mobile Presidential Reception Office in Kaluga Region, Mr Klimenko met with local residents as part of effort to check, together with the relevant authorised officials, the facts set out in people’s appeals and to organise work to resolve the issues they raise.
