Meeting of State Council consultative commission’s working group on regional industrial policy

Presidential Aide and State Council Secretary Igor Levitin chaired, via videoconference, a meeting of the State Council consultative commission’s working group on modern regional industrial policy as a factor of improving the competitiveness and investment appeal of the Russian regions.

The working group is headed by Vladimir Yakushev, Tyumen Region Governor and member of the State Council consultative commission.

The meeting participants included Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area Governor Natalya Komarova, Head of Chuvashia Mikhail Ignatyev, Jewish Autonomous Area Governor Alexander Levintal, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Vasily Osmakov, representatives of federal and regional executive bodies, and representatives of the Agency for Technological Development.

The working group discussed the creation of new development paths for the regions’ industrial policy, increasing productivity in the Russian regions through technological modernisation, building centres of technological competence and ‘factories of the future’, establishment of interregional cooperation and development of interregional investment niches.
