Magomedsalam Magomedov made a trip to Tatarstan on April 21–22

During his trip to the Republic of Tatarstan, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Magomedsalam Magomedov met with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov to discuss the region’s socioeconomic development and the implementation of the state ethnic policy.

On April 21, Magomedsalam Magomedov visited the Bulgarian Historical and Architecture Museum and Reserve, and inspected the construction of the Bulgarian Islamic Academy. Later, he reviewed the restoration of religious artefacts at the The Island of Sviyazhsk Museum and Reserve.

On April 22, Mr Magomedov participated in the 3rd Congress of the Peoples of Tatarstan that brought together over one thousand delegates from the municipalities and ethnic and cultural communities of the republic, as well as guests from other Russian regions, the CIS and beyond.

Magomedsalam Magomedov read the President’s greetings to the congress participants and guests. The Deputy Chief of Staff also noted that Tatarstan had been ranked one of the best in the country for interethnic relations.

Magomedsalam Magomedov stressed the importance of preventing extremism based on ethnic origin or religious belief, the significance of raising awareness among the youth and promoting unity among the multi-ethnic population in Russia.
