During his working trip, Presidential Adviser German Klimenko met with Novgorod Region Governor Andrei Nikitin. A major topic of discussion was the role of the internet and information technology in regional economic development.
Mr Klimenko visited the Clinical Centre of Medical Rehabilitation, where he got acquainted with the regional data exchange network Electronic Case History, and discussed issues of introducing remote medicine technologies.
As part of the Equal Dialogue project of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, Mr Klimenko met with Novgorod Region university and school students at City School No. 36. The focus of the discussion was on the future of the Russian IT sector.
In addition, Mr Klimenko visited the Central Clinical Hospital, assessed the work of the Regional Vascular Centre and took part in a teleconference involving the heads of regional medical organisations.
