Presidential Aide and State Council Secretary Igor Levitin chaired the second meeting of the working group on preparations for the State Council Presidium meeting on increasing the efficiency of medication supply in the Russian Federation.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Federation Council and the State Duma, federal and regional executive authorities, representatives of public organisations and the expert community.
Stanislav Voskresensky, Acting Governor of the Ivanovo Region and the head of the working group, informed the meeting participants on the preparation of the working group report.
The report includes sections on state guarantees regarding medication supply to Russian citizens, ensuring availability of medications to the public, regional procurement of medications, state quality control and increasing the availability of medications to the public.
Working group members offered their suggestions and comments on the draft report.
For the purpose of fulfilling the state guarantees regarding medication supply for welfare beneficiaries, it was proposed to develop a unified registry of such beneficiaries. It was noted that there is a demand for a package of measures to improve medication supply for patients with rare diseases.
The work on the report will continue.
