Magomedsalam Magomedov and Head of the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs Igor Barinov discussed with forum participants issues of the state ethnic policy and current problems in the North Caucasus.
While greeting the participants of the meeting, Magomedsalam Magomedov highly praised the forum and noted that such platforms are a good opportunity for young people to make themselves known, display their talents, find like-minded people and get state support for their initiatives. Deputy Head of the Presidential Executive Office also stressed a significant role today’s youth play in implementing the state ethnic policy.
The Mashuk North Caucasus Youth Forum is being held in Pyatigorsk for the tenth time. Over 20,000 people took part in it during those years. The number of Mashuk participants this year rose to 3,000 people. Vladimir Putin sent a message of greetings on the forum’s opening.
