First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Kiriyenko chaired a meeting of the Coordination Committee on running contests for Presidential grants for civic society development, where the results of the relevant contest were announced.
The contest winners are 2017 non-profit organisations from all 85 regions of the country. They are to receive Presidential grants amounting in total to 4,092 million rubles to implement socially meaningful projects.
Out of the 2017 supported initiatives, 314 are dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The amount of such grants is 763 million rubles.
In total, 9,308 projects were submitted for the contest.
In addition, the Coordination Committee meeting approved a provision on the next contest. The applications from non-profit organisations for participation in the contest will be accepted from February 26 until March 31, 2020.
