Meeting with new members of Council for Cossack Affairs

Presidential Aide Anatoly Seryshev, Chairman of the Council for Cossack Affairs, chaired a working meeting with newly-appointed Council members.

Attendees included Deputy Prime Minister and the Council’s Deputy Chairman Dmitry Chernyshenko, Minister of Justice Konstantin Chuychenko, Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the Siberian Federal District Sergei Menyailo, Deputy Minister of Culture Nikolai Ovsiyenko, Deputy Head of the Federal Service for Supervision of Communications, Information Technology, and Mass Media Vadim Subbotin, and Ataman (Chief) of the All-Russian Cossack Society Nikolai Doluda.

Meeting participants focused on matters of the Russian Federation’s state policy with regard to Russia’s Cossacks, the elaboration of joint approaches towards cooperation between state agencies and Cossacks and efforts to chart high-priority aspects of short-term work.

They touched upon the development of the Cossack youth movement and information support for the state’s Cossack policy.

Summing up, Anatoly Seryshev noted that the advancement of the Cossacks was a state task aimed at ensuring the stability of the national security system. Only together, shoulder to shoulder, and by helping each other will we successfully accomplish this task, he noted.
