Grants will be provided in the amount not exceeding the amount pledged by the region, but not more than 150 million rubles per region of the Russian Federation.

The main condition for the allocation of grants is the regional authorities’ support for non-profit organisations through open and transparent tenders. The Presidential Grants Foundation will monitor the conduct of such tenders and provide the necessary assistance to their organisers.

Grants were established by decision of the President, in addition to funding provided to civil society associations directly through contests for presidential grants. For this purpose, the planned subsidy to the Foundation for 2021 has been increased from 8 to 10.2 billion rubles.
