Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino chaired a meeting of the interdepartmental working group on countering illegal financial transactions via videoconference.
The meeting participants reviewed various problems concerning the establishment of a joint system for managing impounded, confiscated and other property that has been requisitioned in favour of the state.
Reports were made by representatives of the Russian Ministry of Finance, the Federal Agency for State Property Management [Rosimushchestvo], the Treasury and the Interior Ministry.
Using information and analytical material from the Ministry of Economic Development, the Federal Taxation Service, the Supreme Court, the Federal Registration Service, and the Interior Ministry a range of additional measures to counter illegal financial transactions involving the institution of bankruptcy was coordinated.
Following the meeting, federal state agencies were issued specific instructions and recommendations on how to organise interdepartmental cooperation and information exchange, and on how to draft proposals for modifying certain provisions of the Russian Federation’s legislation.
