Presidential Aide Anatoly Seryshev chaired a meeting of the Presidium of the Council for Cossack Affairs to discuss the implementation of state policy with regard to Russian Cossacks.
The deputy chairmen of the Council – Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko and Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy to the North Caucasus Federal District Yury Chaika – updated the President on the results of the first six months of work to implement the 2021–2030 State Policy Strategy Regarding Russian Cossacks.
Head of the Federal Agency for Ethnic Affairs Igor Barinov reviewed the key results of the implementation of the State Policy Strategy Regarding Russian Cossacks until 2020.
Ataman of the All-Russian Cossack Society Nikolai Doluda updated the participants on the current areas of focus and performance of the All-Russian Cossack Society and Cossack Troop Societies, as well as the goals for the second half of 2021.
Chairman of the Synodal Committee of the Russian Orthodox Church for Cooperation with the Cossacks, Metropolitan Kirill of Stavropol and Nevinnomyssk, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Yelena Druzhinina, and Head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, Rosmolodezh, Ksenia Razuvayeva also spoke at the Council Presidium.
The priority goals set for the second half of this year are the implementation of the plan (roadmap) for consolidating Cossack societies and other associations of Cossacks, approval of revised charters of Cossack societies, and holding the 2nd All-Russian Rally of Cossack Youth.
Corresponding decisions were made following the meeting.
