Chief of the Presidential Directorate for Protection of Citizens’ Constitutional Rights Tatyana Lokatkina chaired a meeting of the working group on the implementation of the State Migration Policy Concept of the Russian Federation for 2019–2025.
Members of the working group listened to information on the main approaches to regulating migration that are fixed in the draft federal law on the terms of entry (exit) and stay of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Russian Federation. They also discussed a plan of action to transfer part of the migration procedures required for the entry and work by labour migrants to the territory of a foreign state.
In addition, the participants reviewed a draft federal law on introducing amendments to Article 8 of the Federal Law On the Legal Status of Foreign Citizens in the Russian Federation, which was drafted by the Ministry of the Interior.
