First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Kiriyenko chaired, via videoconference, a Coordinating Committee meeting on the allocation of Presidential grants in the civil society development competition.
At the meeting, the conditions for a special competition of the Presidential Grant Foundation were determined, for which the President allocated an additional two billion rubles.
The competition is designed for projects of non-profit non-governmental organisations related to the provision of comprehensive assistance to residents of Donbass, victims, refugees; protection of compatriots abroad; and social support for vulnerable groups of citizens whose lives were most affected by the hostile actions of foreign states.
Entries can be submitted between July 15 and August 15, 2022. The winners will be announced in September 2022, and on October 1, 2022, they will be able to start implementing their projects.
In total, since April 2017, the Presidential Grant Foundation has held 13 competitions, with 121,502 entries submitted. As a result, 23,852 socially significant projects were awarded a total of 49 billion rubles.
