1st Teenagers 360 Interregional Forum

June 29, 2022, St Petersburg

At the initiative of Presidential Commissioner for Children’s Rights Maria Lvova-Belova, the 1st Teenagers 360 Interregional Forum took place on June 28–29 at St Petersburg State University. The forum was organised by the Centre for Social Projects with support from the Russian Ministry of Education.

The forum is dedicated to cooperation between government bodies, interested parties and public organisations with respect to developing a network of centres for teenage children in Russian regions, building a community of professionals who ensure the socialisation and support of youth, improving work with at-risk children and improving the methodological framework. Participants also focused on the adaptation and rehabilitation of children from the families that arrived in Russia from the Donetsk and Lugansk people’s republics and Ukraine.

More than 800 people took part offline and online, including regional commissioners for children’s rights, representatives of competent federal and regional ministries and agencies, public and youth organisations, and professionals working with teenagers.

During the plenary session, Maria Lvova-Belova presented the Teenagers of Russia strategic programme, which received support from the President. The programme seeks to give a new impetus to system-wide work with children and provide for the comprehensive development of this work.

There are plans to hold two more similar events this year, in Novosibirsk and Vladivostok. The final national forum will take place in Moscow in November 2022.
