A meeting of the Coordinating Committee for organising Presidential grant competitions for the development of civil society was held. The meeting participants reviewed a report on the output of the projects completed in 2022 and financed by the Presidential Grants Foundation and selected the best 100 of them.
The projects’ output and their social impact are evaluated annually. In 2023, this was done for the fifth time: 4,000 initiatives that received grants for their implementation in 2019–2022 and were completed by the end of 2022, were subject to public evaluation. The projects received more than 29,000 ratings and almost 10,000 comments from independent experts, representatives of federal and regional civic chambers, executive authorities, non-profit organisations, and active citizens.
Following the evaluation, 85 percent of the initiatives were declared successfully implemented. The Coordinating Committee selected the best 100.
In total, more than 40,000 projects by socially oriented non-profit organisations have been launched since 2017. These initiatives received support as a result of 16 competitions held by the Presidential Grants Foundation, as well as through other reviews organised according to the Foundation’s model, using the funds provided to them. The total budget of these projects reached 125 billion rubles.
