Dmitry Medvedev signed Executive Order On the Russian Federation Interior Ministry Personnel Special Certification.
By the Executive Order the Presidential Commission for Special Certification of the Russian Federation Law Enforcement Agencies’ Personnel Applying for Senior Positions within the Interior Ministry was established, and Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Sergei Naryshkin was appointed chairman of the Commission.
The order also approved the provisions on the Commission and its membership.
The Interior Ministry was instructed to present by March 15, 2011 for examination by the Commission the candidates for senior positions within the Russian Federation Interior Ministry.
Besides, the Ministry was instructed to carry out by June 1, 2011 the special certification of the Russian Federation law enforcement agencies’ personnel applying for senior positions within the Interior Ministry and ensure that consideration is given to the opinions expressed by the permanent coordination meetings on maintaining law and order in the regions of the Russian Federation in the course of carrying out the special certification of the Russian Federation law enforcement agencies’ personnel applying for positions of deputy heads of territorial departments and heads of divisions of the territorial departments of the Russian Federation Ministry of the Interior.
The chairman of the Commission was ordered to present by June 1, 2011 to the President of the Russian Federation the names of candidates for senior posts within the Russian Federation Interior Ministry.
