Presidential Aide Yury Trutnev held the first meeting of the Presidential Commission for Development of General Aviation.
The meeting discussed organisational matters regarding the Commission’s work, in particular, setting up working groups and drafting the activity plan for 2013.
Speakers at the meeting included Chairman of the Commission Yury Trutnev, Transport Minister Maxim Sokolov, Cabinet Minister Mikhail Abyzov, member of the Council of Federation Maxim Kavdzharadze, representatives of companies and public organisations working in the aviation sector, and pilots.
The Presidential Commission for Development of General Aviation was established by presidential executive order to coordinate the federal and regional executive authorities’, local self-government bodies’, and organisations’ work to form common state policy and draft development strategies and programmes for general aviation.
