The Federal Judges Preliminary Selection Commission under the President met on April 18 to examine candidacies for federal court judges.
The commission, chaired by President of the Supreme Court Vyacheslav Lebedev, examined candidacies for federal court judges submitted to Vladimir Putin by the presidents of the Supreme Court and Higher Arbitration Court.
The commission examined 249 candidates for the office of judge in general jurisdiction courts, and 25 candidates for the office of judge in arbitration courts.
